gratitude #12
My husband. He is so sweet. I have had to work on Friday evenings, and Savanna and Hallie have had birthday sleepovers. He has been so willing to take over. Cleaning up before they got here, making sure they got some dinner, and even kept the house in tact. He is such a good daddy. Plus today he had birthday messages delivered to the girls at school. They thought that was really cool. I am really lucky and blessed to be married to him.

Gratitude #11
The Lord has truly been watching over us this week. The battery in my car started acting up and finally gave out yesterday. We actually found the receipt and it was still under the 3 year warranty so Brad went late last night and they gave him a brand new battery for FREE. I hardly ever keep track of receipts, but for some reason I decided to take care of that one.
Part 2 happened today. The Boys and Girls Club is offering a summer program to kids and it is only $10 a kid for the whole summer. They get lunch and a snack, and can go Monday thru Friday, 11-6. They don't have to stay the whole time, but it will give them some stuff to do. They will activities, games, sports, and they can go on a field trip once a week. The field trip is
2$. So we went to registration tonight. My good friend was there. She is on the board and is very active in the Boys and Girls Club. She knows our financial situation and offered to pay our membership fee. I just felt really thankful. I hope somehow and someday I can pay it forward.
ps.-I just realized the field trips are 7$ each. We may have to rethink the field trip thing. With 3 kids that is probably going to be out of our budget.

Gratitude #10
I have been meaning to post this all week and kept getting side tracked. I would just like to say that we have angels that surround us. The ones I want to mention are our parents. They just really think of us and help us out in such little ways, they probably don't realize how big there little thoughts are to us. D hooked me up with some awesome Shampoo/Conditioner, and some really yummy laundry soap, we had to make the switch to super generic. I came home so excited to wash my hair and do some laundry. Who knew I could get excited about laundry. J-got a violin for the grandkids to use, so I started Savanna with lessons. She was so excited. She wanted to know everything in one night. So please know that we are so grateful to have you in our lives.

Gratitude #9
I woke up this morning and could hear birds singing. That is such a refreshing sound. I am so grateful for the change of seasons. It really brings a feeling of something new and refreshing. I am so grateful that I live in Idaho, where we get to experience such versatile seasons. We get a little of everything. I can't wait for spring. I love the smells it brings when I can open my windows and doors and air out my house.

Gratitude #8
I am thankful that I belong to a wonderful ward/church. I really am blessed to be able to have so many friends that are in my ward, that doesn't mean I am forgetting about those friends that aren't in my ward=). It is like a big extended family. Plus, having the gospel in my life has brought me such joy and peace. My life is at times a spinning cycle of craziness, and knowing that my Heavenly Father loves me and that I am here for a reason really is wonderful.

Gratitude #7
I haven't really had a minute to think about what I am thankful for....I am thankful that I have a really pair of comfy sweats, and a comfy warm blanket, that I can snuggle into after a long day.

Gratitude #6
I am so thankful that I can park my van in the garage. I see so many cars warming up in the mornings, and I can just climb in and go. Brad has always made sure we had room in the garage for both cars. Thanks Honey.

Gratitude #4
My Heavenly Father has blessed me with a wonderful giving family, but I am really blessed that my brother is letting me use his tools. I am trying to get a small wood, craft business going and he is letting me use some of his big tools. I couldn't have done it without those tools. I hope to someday soon pay him back some way and get my own soon. He is a very giving brother and would give the shirt off his back if I asked him too. I love ya Bro.

Gratitude #3
I am so thankful that I have the ability to teach my kids piano lessons. If I had to pay for lessons it would be $120 a month. We would not be able to have lessons if we had to pay for them. I really feel that music is important, and my kids truely are talented with music. It comes easy to them and I really hope they can see that and do something with it.

Gratitude #2
I am so grateful that I was able to keep my cool with a very tired boy today. It all started when it was Jase's turn for a piano lesson. I am the teacher, so I guess that means he can be a bit more dramatic. He was crying and crying and crying some more because "It hurts my thumbs" and "I am never playing the piano again". I really kept my cool. Fits like this typically get my blood boiling and I end up vocalizing my feelings=). He finally settled down, and then he had to do his homework. That started the next crying spill. I just had to keep smiling at him. He would have to hide his face so he didn't laugh-cry. Then I told him he couldn't watch a movie he picked out because it was rated pg=13. Yep, another crying spell. Then it was time to take a shower. Yep, another spell. Then it was time to cut his hair. Yep, he was mad because I wouldn't shave his sides and give him a mohawk. "I look ugly like this".
And the best part was that as soon as he layed his down on his pillow he was asleep.

Grattitude
We had such a wonderful lesson in Relief Society today. I think the lesson was targeted directly at me. Sister M. was talking about how being grateful will bring us more patients and closer to our Heavenly Father. If we will focus on what we do have during times of hardship, it will ease our pain a bit. There was some talk about a Gratitude Notebook and writing down when, where and how the Lord has touched me or my family. If we are always dwelling on the negative, we have a harder time seeing the positive. So I am giving myself the challenge to try and record my Gratitude. I want to try it every day for a month and see what kind of difference it can make. I don't want my kids to look back and see that I was the mom who was always unhappy and negative and never grateful. I don't feel like I am a super unhappy person, but I tend to be a whiner, and I tend to get a bit grouchy at my kids over silly stuff. I am really good and weeing the things that need to be done and changed instead of what did get done, and how well we are doing.
Grateful #1Today I am so grateful for 4 kids that love their baby sister. They all love her dearly, but Hallie and Savanna really step up and make sure she is okay. I was able to lay on the couch for a bit, and get dinner cooked and I didn't have to worry about where Livee was or what she was doing because they just take care of her.
