I am not sure if I mentioned I have a new calling at church. I am the Achievement Day Leader. My responsibilities are having an activity twice a month for the 8-9 year olds. I have Nicki Mickelsen in there with me and so she does a month and then I do a month. It is a fun calling. Aleena is in my group and Livee tags along. Last night I went with a "LUCKY" theme. They were to wear their most creative St. Patrick's ourfit. We then made a quick Lucky list and from the word RAINBOW. Then we broke into 2 stations. 1 sation was making rubberband bracelets and the other station was games (Snorta and Tenzi)and frost a sugar cookie. Chochie won the costume prize. She is the one with the green glasses. They all were so cute. I did love Jentry's taped on green mustache. Great night.

Solo Ensemble
Savanna had Solo/Ensemble last week. It was in Twin Falls. She wanted to pick something off of the State list. They send the top 3 to State. She picked a song in German. She sounded awesome. The only problem is that the piano is too loud. It was a combination of the acoustics in the room and it was a Giant piano, plus Savanna needs to just belt it out. It really was awesome and she should be proud. She doesn't think she made it to state and is still waiting to see her score sheet. I am a little bummed about the situation of waiting to see her score sheet but I can't control everything. Their school left before things were posted so they send them in the mail. I would have stayed and got her copy if I knew that, but I didn't.
Great Job Savanna.

Spiritual thought
Today was a very spiritually filling Sabbath. Sister Sandy Poulton gave a wonderful lesson in Relief Society: Heavenly Fathers scale of our worth is way different than that of the worlds. It is too easy to look at our selves through the worldly eyes: My body isn't fit and perfect, my wardrobe isn't top of the line, I don't make a lot of money, I don't have a career, I don't drive a fancy car, my house isn't big enough. The list could go on. She said something that really struck me "It doesn't matter if we work in marble halls or a dirty barn stall" Our individual worth should be based on something more substantial: honesty, integrity, service. Things that are more Christ like qualities. And we should not be comparing ourselves to others. Heavenly Father is the best problem solver. Take our problems to the Lord and let Him help us through it.
I personally have a tendency to compare myself to those around me and that only leads to self sabotage. Heavenly Father knows me, my intentions, and my situation. What He thinks should be the only thing that matters.
I always walk away from Relief Society with such a recharged feeling of life and how I want to strive to be a better person.
Kelly Rae and her kids surprised us and showed up to our Sacrament Meeting. My kids LOVE when she comes and they wake up every Sunday morning with "Is Aunt Kell coming today?" We had dinner together and the kids just played while we hung out. Over all it was a great Sabbath. Hope you all were able to feel the spirit today even if it was just for a minute.
