Groceries...

I am really missing Winco from my old house. Winco used to be 10 minutes away. Now it is an hour away. It is a whole days activity to go to Winco. Kaydee and I decided we would drive over there this morning after our gym time since Burley is half.way there. I know it doesn't seem hard, but I am exhausted after a big grocery day. Load them in the cart, load them on the belt, bag them, and load them back in the cart, load into car, unload out of car, put away. I have to handle every item at 6 times. Uuggh. We got back in time to grab Savanna at the church. She had just got done at girls camp. She had a great tike. It was ward.camp so there were only about 20 girls there. She had lots of stories and memories.
I forgot Aleena had art today til it was almost over. I got so into putting the groceries awwy, I completely spaced it. I did vet all my groceries put away. Had a frazzled forgetful evening.

Kiwi Loco

Brad and I haven't been to town together very often. "Going to town" means driving to Burley. Tonight we borrowed my dad's car and my sisters trailor and went and emptied our storage unit. We sold quite a bit of our big things and decided to put our other stuff in dad's barn. When we left Kuna, we had plans of returning, but have really felt good about our move and really feel that we will settle in Oakley. It just really feels like we are suppose to be here. Even Brad likes it. I worried he would have a hard time but it only took him a few weeks to feel the same way I do. So my point I was getting at is that we have decided to let go of some of our stuff knowing that we will be where we are for a long time. We have been talking with dad and may even just help him remodel his house and be house mates instead of building new.
So our trip to Burley tonight, we stopped at this fun frozen yogurt shop "kiwi loco". Brad, the goofy dude he is, always tells the kids how good his ice cream is and makes a funny face with hot fudge all over his mouth. I think the kids look forward to his gooey mouth. I actually got a picture of him doing it tonight. I love him for his sillyness. Aleena was trying to do it too with chocolate all over her face.
Earlier this morning we did some weeding in the garden. Livee is such a little shadow. She even really tried really hard to be a good helper. After about an hour, she started saying her legs were hurting but she didn't want to go in so I found her a paint gallon to sit on and tote around for a chair. She was a fun entertainment. She LOVES worms and was keeping her eye out for her next pet.
We later headed in for a rest. Livee actually watched a whole episode of Dora. That is like a first for her. She is so not a tv girl. We then headed to the pool for some play time. I have been trying to work with Jase. He can doggy paddle and do flips of the side, but to pass the swim test he has to be able swim without the doggy paddle stuff. His problem is he has 0% body fat so he just sinks and he has to get better at not plugging his nose. What a great day.

Hard to Swallow...

It is official, I am 35 years old. Today was my birthday. This is the first year where my age is a little hard to swallow. The numbers are really creeping up there.
I had a great day. I started it out with an early spin class at 5:45. This is my 3rd time going and I love it more and more. Seems like each class I am learning to push myself a little more. Love it. I am glad I have my sister to go to it with. That makes it easier to get up so early and go. After class, I buzzed home and got Savanna off to girls camp. She will be gone for 3 days. She is only about 15 minutes away in the basin. She will have fun. I am glad she made the choice to go. She really does have some fun friends here. After dropping her off, I snuck in a 30 minute nap before it was time to take Hallie and Quincey to art. They are helping paint the sets and scenery for the upcoming "Footloose". Hallie loves her art class and her teacher, Peg. After art drop off, I got to babysit Kaydee's kids. She had to work today. While babysitting, I worked on getting my mounds of clean laundry under control. Much better. Gracie and Jase made the kids lunch today for me since it was my birthday. Oh that reminds me, this morning while I was sneaking in a nap, Livee came in with a little mini red tootsie roll and said Happy Birthday. It was too cute watching her eyes dance on that treat that she would really love to eat but was willing to give to me. After babysitting, Kaydee fixed us dinner. We made a type of Cafe Rio sweet pork burrito with rice and guacamole. It was yummy. Kell and her kids came and ate with us too. We then took the kids night swimming until about 8:30. It was a hot one today. It felt good. After we went home and had hot apple pie with ice cream. Oooh it was divine. Kell and Kaydee bought me a super cute shirt from Maurices. Dad brought me home a fresh rose. He told me happy birthday through his flaklemt (spelling) ness. Brad's gift was a mini trip to St. George about 1 1/2 weeks ago with my sister. Hal picked me up a goodie and balloon from the kids. Got a couple of wonderful cards from my other mom's. They really made my day. It was a great day even though I am 35. The only bummer part was not being able to celebrate with mom but I know u were with me in spirit. Driving home from spin this morning with some pondering time, it just hit me that my mom is gone. It kind of reopens up some deep emotions. I miss her deeply. Having the yard sale this past weekend of all her stuff I think is what started the emotions, but it kept me busy enough that I haven't had a free uninterrupted thought to process that all her stuff is gone. It really means she is gone. Is it normal to still find it hard to understand or wrap my brain around that. Well it hit me in the car on the drive home. Sometimee we need those moments.
Anyways, thanks everyone for the time you spent on my birthday. I love you.

summer time

We have actually had some summer weather this week. I am incredibly grateful for the Oakley Pool. We have been spending our days at the pool. The kids are ready for bed by the end of the day and are eating everything in sight. I love it, even though I havent been getting as much house work done. Saving.that for rainy days. What is everyone else doing with tbeir summer?
