We started painting downstairs yesterday. We are doing the playroom and the hall as phase 1. It is finally starting to look like a new space. The house has always had a green feel that the new colors feel a little weird but I know it will all tie together when we are all finished. The have been more than eager to help with the paint. Luckily there isn't much they can ruin down there since we tore the carpet out.
