Perks

We are getting settled. One thing I am really noticing about the country is how slow paced things seem and simple. It seemed at my old house in the city, and not a very big city, but everyone and everything around me was in a hurry which made me feel rushed all the time. The traffic was hussling, lots of houses around me, always on the go. Here it is us. Sometimes there is my sisters families come over or the occassional neighbor boy. I realize we haven't gotten involved in much yet but that is going to be less. I love how it makes me feel.
On another note, I was thinking of all the perks that come along with living here with dad. Hot tub- that is becoming Savanna and my time to just chat, of course only if she is in the mood, nice bosch mixer- mix up a big old batch of dough or cookie dough, a nice baby grand piano- dad pulled out some books so if Savanna gets "bored", and she migrates there quite often, fresh eggs every day- my dad loves his chickens, I will take a picture of his hen house he recently finished. He is so proud of it, a big fruit/food room in the basement, cable tv- we haven't had that for years. A set of bubba washer and dryer. This list doesn't include the time I get to spend with family, these are just things I didn't have in my old life.

Goofy

We are sitting in the dr office here in Meridian waiting for dr Tom to put new velcro on Hallie's brace. We got to drive to Meridian today.
The Dr. Visit went fine. Her brace is doing its job. He checks her skin for any problem spots and makes sure it fits properly. The velcro was gettin pretty unsticky, so he replaced that. Now it is super sticky. And he made the marks a bit tighter on her. I think she is getting skinnier. After the dr we drove to the old house. I filled the back of the van with some misc things that were still there like golf clubs, paint, tools. Hallie walked over to her friend Bailey's house and got a quick visit. She was really excited to see her. She misses her friends. We took Quincey, Hal's cousin, with us. It helped keep them entertained since we had to be in the car for a long time. They sure did a lot of giggling. Someone in the rest stop thought they looked a like and that Hallie was the little sister. They just smiled at the lady and giggled about it for a while after. They really don't look anything alike other than blonde hair. We finally made it home around 7:30. My bum was tired of sitting. I am very proud of Hallie and how responsible she has been with her brace. I know it probably isn't the easiest thing to have to deal with. Thanks to my sister for watching my younger 2. Livee was so excited to go and play at "Faifs" house, (faith).
