Aleena said a funny today that I want to remember. Let me give a little background first. My kids play with a lot of the neighbor kids, and most of the neighbor kids use the Lord's name in vain. They are pretty good at correcting the neighbor kids, and tell them to say gosh or goodness instead. So today, we were having a quick little clean up party, and Aleena was putting away the silverware while I was doing the dishes, and out of nowhere she says
"Mom, we shouldn't say Oh my G-O-D, we should say Oh my Gosh, Right?"
I chuckled and said Yes, that was right. So Hallie and Jase were so impressed that she knew how to spell. So Hallie asked her to spell God, and she said "L-A-E, umm"
We were cracking up. She obviously doesn't even realize she is spelling a word, she is just repeating what everyone else says.
Little kids sure absorb a lot. I have to be careful what I say.
