Laundry Fairy

I have a new Laundry Fairy at my house.  Her name is Aleena.  Here is the story of how I found her:

Jase was really wanting to earn some money and get a job.  He had been wining for 2 days about "I want a job."  So I decided to offer him a job.  Laundry is my biggest challenge around my house.  So I offered him money for every load that was washed, dried, folded and put on that persons bed.  I even tried to make it sound good by telling him he can fold in front of the tv.  He really wanted to have a lawn mowing job but I pointed out a few issues like, no lawn mower, can't drive, no trailor, etc.  So I gave him 5 minutes to think about it and then I was offering it to someone else.  He came back and said he would do it.  After 2 batches he decided he was done.  He has his father's attention span=).  So Aleena was the only other one that wanted to do it.  I was a bit nervous at first because she is so young.  But I let her try and she kicked some butt yesterday.  I make sure to do the bleach, but I showed her how to do everything.  She has a system all set up.  She did 6 batches yesterday was so excited when I paid her at the end of the day.  She woke up this morning ready to get her loads all lined out for the day.  I am so excited.  Not only did she surprise me and really stick to it but now I don't have to do the laundry.  WAHOO!!!!

Art this week 5-13

Aleena

 Last week Aleena painted the background with a salt-paint tecnique so it would be dry for this week.  This week they did the dolphin. 

 They learned how to draw Frankenstien.  The picture had to have Frank and a door.  She drew it and then painted it and added all the details.

Polka Dot Week





She painted the background with the salt-paint tecnique.  The horse is a cut out.  Then they learned that the flowers in the field should be bigger up close and smaller when they are far away. 

She got to paint some rocks.  Peg painted her name and she decorated around it.  The gray is a mixture of colors.

She got to decorate a Bling Box.

Since Father's Day is around the corner, Livee decorated a birdhouse for Dad.  She is getting good at polka dots.
