We had a great Halloween.  We started out at school.  The kids got to dress up and have a parade in the afternoon and then they end their school day with a Halloween party.  I hung out in Aleena's room.  It was fun. 

After school I came home to make Cheesy Ham Broccoli Potato soup and fresh rolls.  It is what I make every Halloween.  Not sure why, it just seems fitting because most of the time it is freezing here.  We lucked out this year with BEAUTIFUL weather.  It was 70' today.  Quite crazy and wonderful.  We got ready for the evening and headed over to the Trunk or Treat.  I either bought way too much candy or there wasn't as many kids because I came home with candy.  The older kids grouped up with some friends and did some door to door.  Kaydee, Brad and I drove around with Coop and Liv and hit a few houses.  We then headed home.  Savanna did not attend Trunk or Treat.  She stayed home to get all dolled up for a Halloween dance which she did not dress up for.  It was a dance for all the youth 12+ in town.  Hallie did not really want to go because she was not dancing with some dumb boy.  She lasted for about 30 minutes and then I picked her up.  On the other hand Savanna stayed until the very end.  Them two are so opposites.  It was great seeing everyone in their costumes. 

That night Jase wasn't quite himself.  He was ready to come home early and came home freezing when it wasn't very cold and he hadn't eaten hardly any candy.  He showered and climbed into bed.  He woke up about 11:00 pm burning up with a fever,earache and a pounding headache.  He said he couldn't lay down it hurt too bad.  I gave  him some fever reducer and he went right into the bathroom and threw it up which triggered a bloody nose-he gets those all the time.  Poor kid.  I got him settled and he finally fell asleep.  He woke up fine.  Haven't seen the fever back or the sick tummy.  He did mention his head hurt a little.  I kept him home from school just to be safe but he bounced right back.  Strange but glad he is feeling better.
