Mini Bolleyball

Aleena played volleyball for the first time.  It was through Oregon Trail, in Burley.  They would practice in Oakley and have games Tuesday and Wednesday evening.  She has a lot of fun and did quite well.  Tomorrow is her last game.   
 

Birthday

Aleena is going to have a week long celebration.  She got her new clothes for Monday.  I took cupcakes to her class Monday afternoon.  She wanted chocolate cake with oreo frosting.  For her birthday dinner she wanted Searle's pizza and chocolate chip mint ice cream to go with her cupcakes after dinner.  She opened her present on Monday night.  It is a unicorn dreamlight.  She LOVES it.  She will have Halloween on Wednesday and on Friday we are going to go to Twin Falls and she gets to pick out a special dress and a new set of scriptures as a baptism gift.  Turning 8 is a special age.  Happy Birthday Aleena.

Random

Jase has been dying to make a fort and has been bugging his dad to help him.  Brad stumbled across some free wood and so they have started.  It isn't anything too fancy but it will be his own boy space. 

Livee missed playing with the kitties while we were away.  She is out catching up.

Costume and Make-up

Introducing, Aleena the Munchkin.  The play is already over but her favorite part about being in it was that she was able to wear makeup, wear a pretty dress and get her hair done.  Kell and I made a good team of hair and makeup.  It was fun.

The Wizard of Oz

Tonight is opening night for The Wizard of Oz. Last night was family night. Aleena is such a cute Munchkin. She has really had fun practicing. Especially since her cousins Macey and Alexey have been in it with her. I didn't realize we could take pictures on family night so my phone pictures will have to do. Livee didn't last the whole show. She loves the first half but after intermission she bonked her toe and tore it open and it was bleeding. We got that under control and then she was hot and thirsty and she was very concerned when the Winkies were coming out. She is quite scared of them. She saw them at a practice. So we went upstairs where it seemed safer to her but she still had the 100 questions of when they were coming? Are they scary? Will they hurt us? Then the monkeys came out. Is toto scared of them? Are they mean? Who are they? Anyways, we survived the show. As many shows as I have been to there I am not sure why I never thought of it before but we brought in Livee's booster chair from the car and fit in her seat perfect without folding her in and giving some height.

Two front teeth

Yesterday Aleena came running downstairs crying "my tooth fell out". She had a bit of panic in her voice so at first I thought maybe she knocked one of her grown up teeth out but it was a baby one. She just hadn't bothered it and didn't realize how ready it was to come out. Cute little thing.

Aleena

They don't bring all their projects home.  She talked about a plate that they worked on that had sea creatures on it.  She loved it.  Livee has been moved to her class and can hopefully start going again next week. 

Field day

Aleena's class had a fun filled track day. They had all sorts of stations set up for them. Luckily the wind was blowing or it would have been way too hot. Livee and I caught up with her after lunch. We got to watch her play some fun games, standing long jump, running long jump, bouncy house and eat popsicles.

Toothless

Aleena lost another tooth. Her other front one will be gone soon. After school it was super wiggly. She tried her hardest to keep it attached so she could show her dad. It finally just fell out around 8.

Recital

We had Livee and Aleena's first recital tonight.  They are in a gym class.  The gym classes were first and then the dance classes.  I wasn't going to stay but Livee was so into it.  She asked "How come I can't do that?"  and "How do they do that?"  She said her favorite one was the "pillow pet" one.  It was cute.  I think she will be my dancer...

Aleena's #7 Birthday

Aleena invited a couple girls for a make-over.  We did face paint, curled hair with a matching bow, and painted fingernails.  Kaydee came over to help me out.

 Aleena was wanting to take her friends to Kiwi Loco.  Instead we set up our own ice cream bar and let the kids pile on the goodies.  They loved it.  I don't think any of them finished their bowl because they had more fun piling on then eating it.

Aleena Graduation...

Aleena's class had a small graduation ceremony. She was so proud to be graduating.  She is so proud to be officially a First Grader.

Boomer Bath Time...

Whenever the kids are in the bath tub, Boomer sits there right next to it, all excited like he wants to get in, or like he is missing out on something so we decided to let him get in.  It took a bit of coaxing for him to figure out how to get in.  Aleena volunteered to get in and help him get clean.  He does so good. 

Aleena Soccer...

 Aleena just finished up her first soccer season.  There was only 5 girls on their team, but they rocked.  Here are a few of her action shots from the last game.  She has been known to do cartwheels quite often after scoring.  But this game she kept them to the sidelines.
