Aleena Doctor visit

Aleena had a doctor visit today.  She has had this circular spot on her cheek and she needed a wellness visit from turning 10 so we decided to combine them.  She weighed 53 lbs and is 50" tall.  I think he said she was in the 8th percentile for her age.  The good news is she is on the actual grown curve.  Turns out she has ring worm, I know a little gross, but it happens.  Which I was pretty sure it was.  Tate has had it and so we figured it might be.  While we were there, we asked about a wart that she has had on her hand.  He actually froze it off.  That was a bonus for the appointment.  We weren't planning on that part.  She wasn't so sure she wanted to have it done but she was brave.  She said it didn't hurt as bad as she thought it was going to.  I was teasing her that she might end up with a white streak in her hair like Anna from Frozen since the Dr froze her like Elsa did to Anna.  She thought that was pretty funny.
We had to wait for a prescription to be done in town so we didn't end up getting home until about 1:30, so she ended up staying home the rest of the day.
I had some left over cross stitch kits from Activity days and gave Aleena one.  Earlier in the day, before we headed into town, I showed her how to do it.  She got it so fast and now won't put it down.  She worked on it for a long time today.  Livee came home and even started working on hers.  They both are really getting the hang of it.  Jase had a basketball game in Wendell.  I decided to stay home and cook Brad birthday dinner since I was gone yesterday.  Jase's team won.  He said he got to play the whole game.  He was pretty excited.  I hate missing my kids' things but sometimes I have to make those choices.  Brad's dinner turned out good.  I made him Chicken alfredo fettucini, fresh rolls and salad. I took the easy way out and bought the cake.  He likes chocolate cake with fudge icing.  Not chocolate buttercream but fudge.   It is Brad's favorite.  We all ate too much for sure.
Everyone is home and tucked in bed.  Now my turn.
