Today is Miss Aleena's birthday. She is 9 now. She had a little birthday party on Saturday night. She decided she wanted to use some of her birthday budget to have a party. I made them all matching pj's and they played games and watched The Crood's. I made pigs in a blanket and she requested chocolate cake with mint ice cream. It was a fun night and there was actually no drama. Happy Birthday Leena Bean.
On Friday, we had a night of pumpkin goo, seeds, and cutting. It was fun having all the kids old enough to really help out. All the kids had a great time. Jase-frankenstein, Aleena-spider, Livee-cat/bat, Hallie-cat face. Savanna was gone to a football game in Declo so she missed all the fun.
Savanna's team had a busy week of volleyball. They actually placed 2nd in their District. The 1st place team goes to State and the 2nd place team gets to play a "play-in"game. I guess it is one last chance to be the winner. We played Cole Valley in Mountain Home on Saturday. Cole Valley is in Meridian. The crazy part is that one of Savanna's best friends from Kuna was on the team. It was so nice to see them.
We did not win the game. Oakley was capable of winning, but just didn't play to their potential. Dang it. Savanna played great. She is such a consistent player. It was a great ride to and from the game too. I rode with my friend Debbie. It was nice getting to know her and her family more. So proud of you Savanna.
