Camping at Clear Creek...

We got the chance to go camping with our friends the Browers. It was a lot of fun and very relaxing. There is nothing more than nature to remind us how beautiful the world is. Brad thinking he is a little kid.
Boomer's first time camping with us. He did so good.
We named this place "Frog Bridge". The kids caught like 5 frogs. Plus it was fun swimming. Boomer loves the water and did lots of swimming. I have a great video but can't get blogger to load it. I will have to keep trying.
Aleena's first frog she caught. After playing with it for a while, she said "Mom, it isn't swimming anymore." I think she did a bit to much playing with it.
The kids did some fishing. J and G had to do some stuff to a fish to pass off some merit badges. G was being gross with the fish head and eyeballs.
T and J were hot and needed to cool off.
More frog playing.
Roasting marshmallows is one of the kids' favorite part. Savanna is known for her marshmallow roasting/eating abilities.
The other part of the circle.
This little thing was Hallies perfect size. They would ride circles around camp. A little dusty, but great place to practice safely.
Savanna gets to ride the big one.

Boomer snoozin'. Him and Sammy (no picture, sorry) played together the whole time. They kept each other tuckered out. Boomer knows just how to get her going. He just had to stand by her food and she would boss him around.
Jase took some pictures while I took a nap. Aleena Hitler.
Her pouting pose?
She is gettin ready for her pose.
They are playing cards. They are usually pretty good at letting Livee be a tag along.
The kids are way down past the bridge. Unfortunately they came back with lots of mosquito bites. They must have stirred up some in the grass looking for frogs.
There was a moist sandy spot by Frog Bridge that attracted these big butterflies.
"I love dirt"
One of Hallie's frogs she caught.
I was early one morning. I couldn't sleep, so I got up and was enjoying the cool crisp morning. It was so beautiful and quiet. Makes me think for a half a second that I could be an early morning person.
Oh, that sun is bright in the morning, and look at that bed head.
Down by the creek is some sand. The kids were building some castles.
This is the boys.
This side is the girls.
These 2 had claimed this little patch as their secret hideout. It was off the path to the river and none of the other kids played down there.
Jase getting a ride.
Savanna is trying to teach P how to play Sudoku.
We found this monarch caterpillar on a tree. Aleena loves creatures. She thought for sure we needed to bring this one home.
We actually got some fishing in but I didn't get any pictures. The dad's took the older kids one time and left Livee, Aleena and A with us mom's at camp. The girls got a chance to put their sticks in the fire without the older kids bossing them.
It was a great trip. We hopefully get to go again with you guys.
