April Fool's funny

We have a family that lives behind us. It is a family of boys and they like to hang out with the kids. Someone ding dong ditched us the other night with a little treat left behind. We suspect the neighbor boys. So we returned the favor. I made some chocolate dipped caramels and this is the note we attached "roses are red, violets are blue, you might think these are treats for you but they are really pooh". I know it sounds a bit gross now that I type it, but on the inside we wrote April Fools. Hal and Quin walked them over. The mom was not about to eat one for fear of what was inside. She told the girls they had to eat one first so she would know they were safe to eat. They were more than willing since.they couldn't keep their paws off of them at home. It was funny. That morning grampa told the kids that they announced on the news that there was no school as his April Fools. At school that morning, I was there helping Hal get her brace thing figured out, they announced "due to bad weather they would be staying in for the first recess" It was a beautiful sunny day. Haha, April Fools. What a great day.

Animal mystery

We have had some animao trauma at our house. Tigga our cat made it here. She ran away as soon as they pulled in the driveway and let her out. She was missing for the evening. We finally found her hiding behind a bush. We brought her in and she headed under our bed. Grampa has a cat named Sassy and she isn't very nice most of the time so we knew it might be a rough meeting. Tigga just hid out til she was hungry or had to go potty. We would take her out and then she would rush right back in and hide. Tigga and Sassy discovered each other. It wasn't to bad. They just sat and stared at each other. Sassy did a little growling but that was about it. Lucy loved to try and find her and would bark up a storm at her. So a few days ago we let her out and we haven' t seen her since. We aren't sure what happened. We haven't seen any body to tell us she is dead but anything could have happened. I think Sassy gave her the word to get out of here, that this is her territory:). Then Boomer had some sort of incident. The other morning we found him dripping wet and all scuffed up. Like patches of road rash all over him: his head, lip, legs, inner thigh, butt. It was snowy on the ground except for on the road it was just wet and muddy. So we think he got run over by a car. We think he must have got rolled under the car inbetween the tires. And that is how he got all the road rash. We put him in the shower and got him all washed off. He stayed in for the day and got dryed up. Brad thinks he might have hurt a couple ribs because he keeps licking that spot. I asked my dad if he was hiring pet hit men to take out my pets. He just laughed.
