Everyday Madness

My problem with trying to take pictures every day is that I want to post them all. I found myself taking more pictures of Livee today. The older kids only had a half day, so they were busy with friends. I started this morning by trying to get some paper work organized. Next thing I knew, it had been 3 hours, and the kids would be home soon. Where did the time go. Aleena got to go and play at her friend Amy's house today. She was so excited. She even got invited to PJ storytime at the library with her tonight. She had a fun day. Jase is having 2 friends over, Hallie has 2 friends over and Savanna went over to Kayla's. Everybody will need a nap today. It has actually worked out good. The girls are playing in Hallie's room, and the boys are downstairs watching a movie.
Here are todays Highlights:

Livee was helping me straighten up the bathroom. She found a few favorites to chew on. I picked up a headband and put it on her. She actually wore it for about 30 minutes. That is a long time for her.

Livee is enjoying her cup of Cheerios. She can't just eat one at a time. She needs the whole fist full. She spilled her cheerios all over, so it entertained her to sit and pick them all up and eat them. She is practicing her motor skills=)
This blue stool is Livee's little buddy. She sits in it upside down like a box. Her little bum fits in there perfectly. The upset face is because her sweater was stuck on one of the legs and she couldn't get it out. She finally got it out, but it took her a minute to get unmad at things.
This is Aleena snuggling on the couch around 5 pm. If I let her sit for very long then she will fall asleep. She came and helped me with dinner to keep her awake.
Aleena takes super long baths. So long that the water gets cold before she decides she wants to get out. She then lays on the bathroom rugs hiding in her towel until she warms back up. I am surprised she hasn't grown fins.

Shaving?

The other morning Savanna, who is 10 soon to be 11, came into my room and asked "When can I start to shave my legs?" I wasn't quite awake yet, and so if any of you know Savanna, she is so not comfortable talking about personal stuff, so when she asked that I perked right up. I wasn't really sure what to say because I hadn't even thought about it. Well, maybe a little but not enough to have an answer. I asked her if girls in her class were shaving already, and she said yes. So I told her to let me think about it.
When is a good age to start shaving? Yes, she does have pretty hairy legs, but once you start, you have to keep shaving. If I tell her absolutely not, then she will want to more, just because I said no. Do I educate her about what it takes to shave and let her decide. We have already made some family rules about makeup, and dating and bigger issues, so do I let her decide this one, or am I opening a can of worms?

Gratitude #10

I have been meaning to post this all week and kept getting side tracked. I would just like to say that we have angels that surround us. The ones I want to mention are our parents. They just really think of us and help us out in such little ways, they probably don't realize how big there little thoughts are to us. D hooked me up with some awesome Shampoo/Conditioner, and some really yummy laundry soap, we had to make the switch to super generic. I came home so excited to wash my hair and do some laundry. Who knew I could get excited about laundry. J-got a violin for the grandkids to use, so I started Savanna with lessons. She was so excited. She wanted to know everything in one night. So please know that we are so grateful to have you in our lives.
