"Tag I'm It"

So I was tagged. I was suppose to go to my pictures folder, my 4th folder, and my 4th picture and post it. I was a bit nervous about that one, because sometimes I take really retarded pictures playing around, but I actually lucked out with a good one. This is Aleena looking adorable as ever. We are at Grama and Grampa's house in Oakley. My sister was coaching T-ball at the time, and the kids thought it would be fun to have a game with the cousins. Aleena is waiting for her turn to bat.

Canning Apples

I am officially done with my canning for this year. I did 2 bushels of apples 2 weekends ago, and 2 more this last weekend. Linden and I split them. The kids really like helping so they could run the peeler. We only had one accident, and that was Hallie slicing her finger. She was trying to pick the seeds out of a core and sliced her finger across her knuckle. It wouldn't stop bleeding, so we wrapped it up like crazy. Zane and Aleena being our helpers.

Team Pictures

Hallie's team had pictures last week. We didn't order any, so I kind of snuck in and took my own pictures.

Fall Soccer 2008

New Bows

I made 2 new sets of bows for Livee this past week. They both turned out cute, but I really like the black and white one. I have making 2 of each so that I can use them for pony tails if I want to on Aleena or when Livee gets more hair. I need to come up with something I can hang in the bathroom to hold the bows. Any creative ideas? Livee is sure making some funny faces in 2 of these pictures.

Soccer Weekend

Everyone had soccer this weekend. Friday afternoon Savanna filled a spot in a tournament for another team. The game was in Middleton. They didn't really need her, but she still had fun playing. They were far enough ahead that they put the better players in the back. So Savanna was kind of standing around.
Friday evening, Hallie had a game. She got to start as the goalie. She didn't get much action on her end of the field. She only got to stop 1 or 2 balls. The goalie has to wear a different shirt so that the ref. can tell them apart from the other players. The jersey is so big, and so are the gloves. She just looks so tiny in them. She has really been trying to work on her drop kick. Hallie scored once in this game. She was so excited. Soccer season isn't very long, but I can really see how much there game improves over that time.

Here is Savanna, Maribell, Kayla & Madison. They are all on the same soccer team, and they all have little sisters playing in Hallie's league, so they get to hang out during Hallie's game.

Livee loves to chew on this knob on the fold out chairs. She does it just about every game.

Livee looked so peaceful after she had fallen asleep. If I am sitting and holding her she assumes she needs to eat. So here is a shot of her right after she has eaten. I swear my milk has sleeping medicine in it.

Jase had his game Saturday morning. I was so busy cheering that I didn't get any pictures of the action, so I got some pictures of them giving hi-5's after. It was a great game. Jase scored once during the game. And I think 3 other boys got to score also. It is much funner when most of the team gets to score. They are so excited to get that ball in the goal. I think they won by 1, but who is taking score anyways=). They played a great team.

Savanna had a regular game Saturday afternoon in Caldwell. I wasn't going to go because of the rain, but it was warm and sunny when we left Kuna. As we were unloading the chairs and blankets, the thunder started up. They started playing and not 2 minutes later, here comes the rain. It wasn't cold rain, so I was just going to tough it out. Livee was under lots of blankets, and my friend Rachel had a big umbrella, but the kids came running from the playground. They were trying to get under the blankets from the rain, but Hallie couldn't share with Jase, so they were hitting each other. Aleena was crying because she was scared, and Livee was just not sure what to do. So I took them to the car. Let me remind you that right now it is pouring cats and dogs, and of course the car is about 300 yds from where we were sitting. By the time we got to the car we were drenched. I didn't want to miss the game, so I put Livee's rain coat on, left the kids in the car, and walked back to the game. Livee was ready to eat, so she was under blankets and dry the whole time. The only thing on her that got wet were her pigs. They must have been hanging out the end of the blanket. Of course Savanna scored while I was taking the kids to the car. Go Figure. The sun came out during the second half and we all kind of dried out. The kids came back out and played in the playground. Aleena was in Jase's coat with no pants, because her pants were drenched from walking to the car. Luckily Jase's coat was long enough to be a dress for her. Unfortunately I didn't get any pictures during this time. It sounds a bit miserable, but it was actually fun. The girls had so much fun playing in the rain. They were wet all the way through. They ended up winning 7-1. I was so glad they won because that team had elbows flying the whole time, a very aggressive team. Our girls really try to play a fair game but when elbows start flying it really brings out the competitiveness. On one foul against the other team, the ref said "It is okay to go after the ball, but there is no need to go after the player." Great time.
