Summer Catch up...

I haven't taken many pictures since summer started so I figured I would just catch up on what has been happening. The kids have been playing like crazy and staying up late every night. I finally told Savanna that bedtime was 10:30 tonight. She was not very happy with that. She would stay up all night and sleep til noon. Is it really a harsh thing to send them to bed? We decided to get Netflix and my kids have loved it. They get to catch up on some of the series that we don't get on regular tv. Aleena has been playing with our new neighbors. E. and J. are 5 & 7 and love to play and ride their bikes together. Jase has been playing with the neighbor boys. N. went to church camp and let us borrow his Guitar Hero. We have really loved playing it. The kids think it is funny that "Mom" can even play it. We have been walking to the school for free lunches. I was first sending the kids on their own, but I have really started looking forward to the time we walk and have conversations. It is nice and it gets us all out of the house. Last weekend Mom and Dad came up and helped my brothers family move. They surprised me on Friday and stopped by my work and had some dinner. It really made my night and the crowd just died down so I could take a break and hang out with them. They sat outside and enjoyed the beautiful view. It was a gorgeous night. I fixed them up with a fancy virgin margarita and a nice Steelhead fish dinner. I haven't seen my parents much this last year and I really miss them. Hallie and Livee went back with them and are staying the week at Aunt Kell's house. They are in heaven taking swimming lessons, helping Lexey walk her lambs, playing at grama's, catching kitties, staying up all night. I told Kell she is spoiling them and they are never going to want to come home. I am glad they are having fun. It has been a bit quieter with out them here. Livee keeps asking "Where Eena Doe?" We miss them. We have had Grama D move away, and Aunt Kd move away. Everyone is moving around us. We are feeling a bit left out. NOT. We helped move and I am not envious of all those boxes. Although a new house would be nice=). I am working on getting my craft organized and condensed. I am trying to turn it into my room. I need my own space and I am going to transform it into a Mom Cave. My family thinks I am nuts, but I think I can do it fairly easy. Anyways, that is what our summer has consisted of so far. It is going way to fast. Hope everyone else is enjoying their summer.

These really caught my eye. I can't wait to teach my kids how to make these. I think they will love them. They can put them on bows, backpacks, cards, shirts, bookmarks, and whatever they want. Hallie tried crocheting at a church activity a couple weeks ago and LOVED it. I found the pattern and idea here. Now I need to get my craft room organized so I can find some thread and needles. YIKES.
