Uniform

Brad was issued his new uniform. They recently decided to go with a standard food uniform which is white. He doesn't seem to mind. His clothes won't get gross and they have a company clean them so less laundry for him. The all white brought back flashes of my Albertson's bakery days. I suddenly was craving a donut when he was modeling for me...

Brad update

He finally txtd me around 4 ish telling me he made it through surgery. He got home about 6. Apparantly at work he was holding something in the air and the weight that was dumped on it buckled his wrist. It shoved the end of his arm bone up onto the back of his hand. The only bummer was the pharmacy didnt open til 10 this morning and it is 30 min away and it took them 25 minutes to fill it. So he was more than ready for some pain killers. He is tough. No whining or complaining. I think it hurt too much to say much...Thank you everyone for the prayers and well wishes. I think the worst is to come. He is realizing all the things that will be a challenge since it was his right hand. Brad is a 2 showers a day kind of guy. He hates to go to bed dirty and loves to wake up in the shower. So we have to wrap his arm lots. Getting dressed is tougher. He has a drain right now that dangles from his cast, but hopefully that comes off tuesday at his appointment. He is pretty concerned about going to the bathroom and being able to wipe left handed. I know, little to much info, but he truely is concerned being a super clean guy and all. And we have a family vacation in a few weeks where he normally gets his jet skiing water fix, but that is probably out. Finding a comfy way to sleep is a bit of a challenge because he is suppose to keep it elevated and he loves to sleep on his side. Lots of adjustments but we are just thankful it was his wrist and nothing more serious.

Broken and helpless

Brad had an accident at work. He called me from the ER saying he thinks he broke his wrist. He had a friend there from work so he said not to come in. He then called me back confirming it was broken and that he was getting ready to into the OR. They want to open it up to set it and then they will cast it. So here I am at home while he is at the hospital. I haven't heard how the surgery went yet. It is the middle of the night and I can't sleep. I hope I hear something soon.
