Bed Magnet...

Livee has been my worst child in the sleeping department. She sleeps, but she has to be with in 1/2 mm. of me. We have made her a little bed on the floor in our room to see if that would help in the transition. It is helping, but she still has nights where she ends up in my bed. Here is how last night was. We fall asleep on my bed. Well, I fell asleep first, then she reluctantly snuggled by me and fell asleep. Brad gets home from his soft ball game and puts her in her nest in the floor. About 2 am she finds her way back to my bed. She is very quiet about it and just slips right in. She gets in the middle of us. We have a King size bed, so there is room, but for some reason she thinks she needs the middle half. Around 4:30 I decided to move to the couch because I just sometimes need to sleep without anyone touching me. So she is nice and comfy on my pillow in my spot, sound asleep. I get up at 5:30 to take Savanna to early volleyball. I get back and by this time Brad is up and in the shower, so I very quietly slip into Brad's spot. I think I was safe for about 45 minutes, then pretty soon I feel little hands, a little bum, and little feet trying to spoon with me. She is still asleep, but just knows where I am. By the time I got up to take the kids to school, she had successfully made it back to the side I was sleeping on and had pretty much nudged me out trying to spoon. I just had to chuckle. She is my little bed magnet. She just knows if I am in the bed. There are a few nights where she decides she wants to spoon with Dad, but not very many. I don't get that. Anyways. She is my little snuggler. I love her and will someday miss these snuggle days. I do need to get her in her own bed one of these days.

Livee words...

Livee has a few new sayings. She gets a little camera shy when I ask her to say them.

"Hoe-wee Tow" Holy Cow.
"Awtume" Awesome.

I bought her some little silver sparkly shoes to prance around in, and she
"Mom, are dee my awtume dooz." Are these my awesome shoes?

With the kids in school, we have had some quiet time around the house. She has been so good. She has really taken a liking to building with the blocks and doing some coloring. A few times we have just snuggled back in bed and whispered and giggled. She is getting a bit bossy. She already tells me how she wants her hair. She wants 2 pony tails usually, and she is very picky as to what color of rubber bands she wears. She doesn't like it when I pick her clothes out either. Wow, to think she is only 2 1/2. Very mature young lady=). She is quite the little parrot also. Anything Aleena does, she is right behind her saying and doing exactly what she does. Aleena is typically pretty patient.
This little video isn't anything spectactular, but Aleena is such a bug person. She is not afraid. Plus I love how they both say Catepillar. Aleena says it first. Then if you listen Livee says it at the end.

O Henry Bars

Found this recipe HERE. Make a yummy after school snack. I am on this baking kick. Not good for my belly or thighs=).

1 C. Sugar
1 C. Karo Syrup
2 C. Peanut Butter
5 C. Rice Crispies
1/2 bag choc chips (6 oz)
1/2 bag butterscotch chips (6 oz)
Bring the sugar and Karo to a boil. Remove from heat and add Peanut butter. Mix well. Next add Rice Crispies. Stir well. Pour into greased 9x13 pan. Combine the 2 types of chips in a glass dish. Place the bowl in microwave for 30 second intervals until melted. Stir in between. It usually only takes a minute. Once melted spread over rice crispies and let cool. Cut into bars.

Hallie Scoliosis Update...

Hallie had an appointment back in July. It was time for x-rays again. This time she was suppose to leave her brace off all night and see what her spine is doing without the brace. I was a bit nervous how it would go just because we had just got done with a couple weeks of vacationing and not being 100% faithful to our time on. She kept it on pretty good, but it was hard being on the beach and in the water a lot. So she actually did really good. He measured her at around 20.6 degrees. Which he was very happy about. She was diagnosed at 31 degrees. So her spine is responding and she is just suppose to continue doing what she does. She has been noticing if she doesn't wear her brace for a while and she is tired, it almost hurts to not have it on. It makes her muscles tired and feels better when she has it on. She has done so good wearing it. I am very proud of her. We are still in the original brace. November is when we see Tom again, so we will see if she has grown any and needs a new brace.

Marshmallow popcorn

We love sticky popcorn at our house. I saw this recipe here, so I will be trying this in the near future.

Jase's Baptism...

Jase had a big weekend. Now that he is 8, he chose to be baptized. I just can't believe he is 8.
We had a little photo shoot before the big occasion.
-----------------------------------
------------------------------------------
After the baptism, we tried to get some group pictures. I know these next few pictures don't have much difference, but I had to post them. Jase could not be serious for one minute. He has a new pose for every picture.

Grama brought her new puppy, Lucy. She was definitely not neglected.
Grampa was the one that baptized and confirmed Jase. It was a special day.

We went outside and tried to get some family pictures. Livee couldn't keep her little paws off of the flowers.
A few things I didn't get pictures of: Playing the Cheer wii game at Aunt Amylee's, Willow (Aim's rabbit) loves Savanna, Kell having an asma thing because of Willow, getting peaches and pears at orchard, grown ups going out to Texas Roadhouse, 8 kids and 2 dogs sleeping in my front room, kids playing volleyball, Lucy following all the kids around, Linden blessing baby Broxton. Well, it was a great weekend. Thanks everyone for coming and supporting our family.

Halloween Ideas...

Everytime I see something on line I think "oh-I will remember where I saw that" Then I go to find it and I can't. So I am going to be better at posting where I saw things. This Lady has come up with some super adorable tutu ideas. She has an Etsy shop. Livee would make such a cute Elmo or Spongebob.

Bad Moment...

Aleena had such a great first day of school, but I am afraid I will always remember it as the day she went hungary. Aleena wanted to take a snack to school so she packed an apple and a lifewater. She wanted to take it in a lunch tote. I figured no harm in that. I was at work when they got home from school. I called her to see how it went. I was asking her different questions. I then asked what she ate for lunch and she told me she ate what she packed. I just about died. She didn't even complain. She did say she was hungry though. I am not sure what happened there, but she must not have realized she was going to eat at school? Or her teacher saw the tote and thought she had cold lunch. Either way, my heart just sank when she told me. Hopefully tomorrow she will get some hot lunch.
Leena and Livee got a play date with Zane and Kaisey today. They loved it. There weren't any big kids to bug them, and maybe even gave Michelle some time while they were entertained. Thanks Michelle for watching the kids. I went and had my hair cut and ooohhh, it feels good. I went shorter and it feels nice. I get to a certain point with long hair where I want to wear it down and it just ends up in a ponytail. Why have long hair if I am going to wear it up everyday. Off to bed. Goodnight.
