*Pictures will come later. My phone won't post them. *We had a great time at Bear Lake this year. We ended up going a day early, Saturday, and crashing with Linden's family. We spent Sunday on North Beach. It was a nice warm day. We just chilled. My Dad rolled in about 3. Kaydee rolled in about 4 and got the boat in the water and came over to us for a bit. Brad and I headed back for a bit to get checked into our cabin. The guy said he would be right there and ended up being an hour. We were heading back to the beach when we were told they were done so we turned around. We should have kept driving and made sure they were all cleaned up because we left Linden and Michelle to clean up. I felt bad that we left them but assumed everyone helped them clean up.
We went into town for dinner. We ate at the regular diner Hometown Drive-in and got milkshakes. It really is hard for me to always be in the save save save mode and then go out and spend $$ on dinner/shakes. Even tho we have saved and planned on spending this money, it just kills me and makes me a bit on edge. I want to change that about me.
Monday, we went to North Beach and Nate took kids on the boat while we played on the beach. Michelle had dinner Monday night, Chicken Alfredo. Kell's family and Amylee and girls came into town right before dinner. After dinner, we had the crazy idea of getting our tie-dy shirts done. It ended up being a bit messy doing it in the dark, but it all worked out. Tuesday was a rainy cool day. We did not have any beach time. The kids swam in the pool, we washed and ironed on our shirts, played games, drive the parents crazy. We ended up taking away scooters because the kids were going to crazy fast down the hill and on the roads. We told them we could ride them at Kell's complex which has lots of safe sidewalk. Tuesday night was Kaydee's dinner night, Breakfast Burrito's. We all went to Pickleville Playhouse for the show Juanito Bandito. The kids loved it. It is a funny entertaining show. Wednesday ended up being rainy again. Everyone was bored and so Nate took the boat out for the crazies that didn't care if it was raining. We camped out at Kell's place at Ideal Beach. We toughed it out for a couple hours but then the rain drove us away. We headed to the pool/hot tub but the rain came again. Finally we called it a day for the outdoor activities. Nate packed up the boat and headed out. It was Amylee's night for dinner, sweet pork on tortillas. The actually started to come out about 6 pm. Linden,Michelle,Zane, Patty, Butch and my Dad got tickets for the other show Beauty and the Beast. Their kids came over to our cabin. We went and got milkshakes and just played games. They played a lot of Tenzy.
Thursday had sun but it was a bit cool. Kell was in charge of Brunch that day, juice, ham, eggs, muffins. We just spent the day there. Michelle rented a water trampoline for the day on their beach. The kids bebopped from beach to hot tub. It is a nice complex but it is a pain to haul everything down. North Beach let us drive our car down right to where we were. The trampoline was fun, the water was freezing on that side for some reason. I even got brave and jumped off the side into the lake. That's big for me. Thursday night was free night for dinner. Some people went out but we ended up just eating whatever we had in the cabin. Kell had Matt's mom and dad drive down thursday and visit. My Dad and Chris had left by now. Tallon ended up driving up Thursday night. He had some plans cancel and decided to come play. The kids stayed up playing games half the night. He slept in the extra bedroom over in Patty and Butch's place.
Friday we all woke up with bad sunburns from the cool day before, but we were excited to see sun. Amylee and Kell were heading home so we got together and had a quick picture session of all the kids in their tie-dy shirts. They all cooperated good. Not one kid cried during the picture session. A miracle. We then headed over to North Beach for our last beach day. Michelle ended up renting a couple jet skis for a couple hours. Kids played volleyball, rode their skim boards, and built lots of castles. We kind of had a re headed creeper dude that kept stocking our skim boards.
None of us were ready to leave. I think because it meant our week was coming to an end. Kaydee and her kids headed home from the beach. We headed back home and I made taco salad/corn on the cob for dinner. We went to the nazcart racing place for a bit and ended up getting hot chocolate instead of ice cream. Town was crowded because of Raspberry Days.
Saturday morning was pack up and leave morning. We put a few things in Tallon's truck so we didn't have to tie on our topper. Savanna drove with him. We actually stopped in town and walked through the booths for Raspberry days and then headed out. We stopped in Pocatello and grabbed lunch and then drove the rest. It was great to be home and the dogs missed us like crazy. We had dinner there ready for us from my sweet neighbor friend Kendra.
