What a busy day. We had a small birthday party with a few of the neighbor friends that Jase plays with everyday. So this morning we had a cleaning party. I gave them the option of helping or going to their room. Usually they hate going to their room, but Savanna is getting too smart. She opted to go to her room. It caught me off guard. She went up there and played her recorder and just hung out. Hallie and Jase stayed down and helped me straighten up. Next time the room thing will definitely not be an option. She still helped me out and volunteered to take Livee to her room and entertain her.
After the cleaning party, I made some rice crispy treats. That turned into a longer ordeal than planned. I was just going to melt some chocolate chips and put on the top of them. After I got them melted I realized I didn't have enough chocolate chips, but I had already poured what I had right down the middle of the pan. So to make it not look so yucky I had to make some chocolate frosting. It still wasn't enough. So I made a second batch. Needless to say there was another mess to clean up. They tasted really yummy though. I wouldn't have so much to clean up if I would clean as I baked. Most of the time I am in a time crunch so I tend to be the "mad baker".
The party went fine (pictures to come later). There were only four families, 7 kids, that came over. We had the small pool set up in the back yard and the sprinkler on the trampoline, and the shader with a blanket set up. There were 2 kids that pretty much stood at the door and wanted to come in and play toys or watch a movie, but we decided that it was going to be an outside party. It just killed them that they couldn't come in (except to go potty). Anyways, it is over, and so is Jase's birthday.
Aleena finally let me get the super glue off her cut. It is looking good. It looks like maybe part of it maybe split open a bit, so the scar will be more than a straight line. I think it might have happened when Hallie accidentally head butted her. It was pretty oozy after that. Hopefully it heals pretty good.
Well, I think that is it for today. Savanna is over to Chloe's, and Hallie has her friend Maddie here. They better get their playing days over because school is almost here.
I am really long winded today, sorry. Well, good night.

Here's to paying it forward
Our family has been blessed and I just want to share it. Aleena had to get stitches 2 weeks ago. It was so unexpected and we weren't even home. The guy that my sister knew was nice enough to take us into his home and fix Aleena's head. He said we didn't owe him anything, but we left him a check anyways because he did us a huge favor. Well, he is refusing to cash that check. He said that he is just returning the favor. You see, his wife this last winter, fell off the roof of the house they were building and broke both her legs very bad. She spent a lot of time in the hospital and had to be in a wheel chair, and is still trying to recover. He said that so many people helped his family (4 kids) get through that, that this is just his way of giving back. Not only did it help us out by getting her stitched up, but it helped us out even more financially. With Brad in Real Estate (need I say more) we have really had to cut back in every way, and a medical bill from the emergency room would have devastated us. I just hope that some day our family will be able to pay it forward to someone else in need. So here's to "paying it forward".
Jase finally lost a tooth.
Jase finally lost his first tooth yesterday. He was so excited. He didn't even notice it being wiggly until Wednesday, and he wiggled and wiggled and a day later he pulled it out, unlike the girls who would baby the loose tooth until it was just hanging there by a thread. Jase said his just "popped" out and then he couldn't find it for a while in the carpet. He is a tough cookie. The tooth fairy brought $2. He wasn't that excited about the tooth fairy. Hallie had already informed the secrets about the tooth fairy. She can't keep a secret very well.
